Rise

Leo Stormguard has been a career fighter for 23 years, but recent events have made him look back on his life and leave his mercenary company on a quest of self reflection and redemption.

Titling:
Posts will be titled, Part (number) “title” if the post is from the point of view of another character, it will be followed by =(character name)=

Interactivity:
Though he's been fighting for so long Leo is now conflicted in how to approach violent situations. Each post will have the following two options at the bottom, Aggressive and Restrained. The number of votes either way will influence the next action he takes. The votes will only matter on posts that end right before a confrontation. As a result post will probably be less frequent than I have managed with Denwatch so far.

Moderate, this story takes place in a different area of the Denwatch world, its portal activity is the same. Portals form once every so often, sometimes something dangerous comes through and must be dealt with by adventurers, other times someone from another reality comes through or leaves through them. Mostly though, people are unaware of them and when they are discovered it is usually blamed on some wizard or other, even though there are almost none capable of mustering the power to break through to another reality.

Denwatch

Denwatch is a fantasy story written in first person, present tense. It follows the musing and work of Nivar Denwatch, a city guard working in the city surrounding Midrange Keep.

Titling:
Each post will be referred to by '(case number)-(post number for that case) “title.”' In the event that the post is from the point of view of someone other than Nivar the title will be followed by =character=.

The Portals

A feature linking all of the stories I will be working on is the portals. Each reality is in a state of flux, though some are more stable than others. This results in portals opening up between realities that are approaching each other.

Even in these breaks there are still small barriers between realities that prevents air from traveling through unless the air pressures are significantly unbalanced. They are not particularly dangerous, the worst that could happen to someone walking through this barrier completely unprotected is that they might lose a layer of skin and some hair. Depending on the strength of the barrier, germs and small particulate may make it through.

Each reality follows its own rules. While realities that cross over always have at least one aspect in common, and usually more, there are usually differences, from such small things as names of people to such significant things as the rules of magic, or laws of physics.

Starting

I've started this blog as a hub to connect several other stories I plan on writing through blogs and other mediums. All information about my other works will be posted here, while the other blogs will only have the stories posted in them. This will include links, responses to comments and updates on when posts are made.
